Netflix - A Perfect Entertainer
Netflix is the world's most popular internet television service, with over 200 million customers in over 190 countries watching 125 million hours of TV series and movies each day.
Netflix entertains the world by offering a diverse selection of TV series, movies, and documentaries in over 30 languages to hundreds of millions of users across the world. Netflix incorporates diversity, inclusion, equity, and a global perspective into everything it does, and by cultivating a culture of daring, empathy, and curiosity, it will be able to produce new stories and better methods to share them with its global audience faster. Netflix relies on Amazon Web Services (AWS) to help it develop quickly and consistently offer world-class content.
How Netflix uses Amazon Web Services?
Netflix uses Amazon Web Services (AWS) for computation, storage, and infrastructure, allowing the firm to scale swiftly, operate securely, and fulfil capacity demands anywhere on the planet. Furthermore, Netflix, a renowned content provider, has built a cloud studio using AWS. Netflix is able to engage top artistic talent from all over the world through this virtual studio, and Netflix artists and partners are able to interact without technological or geographical constraints.
Netflix Utilize AWS to build VFX Studio
Netflix, one of the most well-known entertainment corporations in the world, has always been a trailblazer. Because of its forward-thinking perspective, it became one of the first entertainment streaming services in 2007 and expanded into content development in 2012. Netflix's innovative culture has propelled it to the forefront of visual effects (VFX) and original animated content production.
Netflix set out to create a VFX studio in the cloud, powered by NICE DCV, a high-performance remote display protocol developed by Amazon Web Services (AWS) that allows customers to securely deliver remote desktops and application streaming from any cloud or data centre to any device, regardless of network conditions.
Netflix artists and collaborators now have access to AWS virtual workstations that are flexible, secure, high-performing, and cost-effective, removing technological and geographic obstacles for artists and allowing them to collaborate creatively on Netflix's VFX and animation projects.
Netflix connect to 100 million users by Amazon Simple Email Service
Netflix had an in-house email sending system before shifting to Amazon SES. Operating costs for this approach included dedicating servers with email delivery software, optimising email sending procedures for each Internet Service Provider (ISP), and so on.
It was difficult to scale this configuration dynamically in new regions because it required replicating it in co-located data centres in each new region. For email delivery, this system produced a single point of failure.
Netflix subsequently began forwarding limited volumes of outbound email to Amazon SES in order to provide ISPs with information on the sort and volume of email they would be receiving from Netflix's dedicated IP addresses. Netflix investigated the impact of sending from Amazon SES on its bounce and complaint rates, sender reputation, and inbox placement rates after sending these messages.
Netflix gradually increased the amount of email sent using Amazon SES once they were satisfied that these metrics were within acceptable ranges. Netflix was able to transition its email sending activities to Amazon SES after several iterations of this send-and-evaluate approach.
Conclusion
Amazon Web Services has become a major attraction for startups and accomplished businesses. The resources of AWS are diverse and can satisfy any till date needs of any firm.
Thanks!!
